CHRIS Park is looking for Dorset to build momentum ahead of their upcoming three-day campaign by impressing against Wales in Wrexham tomorrow (11am).

The Dean Park outfit will be looking for their first competitive one-day victory of the season, following three straight Unicorns Knockout Trophy losses which have left them bottom of the pile in Group One.

And while his side’s Trophy quest has not gone as well as he had hoped, the Dorset captain wants his troops to get back to winning ways before the Championship schedule, which gets underway soon after a day of t20 in Exmouth.

Park told Echosport: “It’s about putting in a good performance ahead of the three-day Championship stuff now.

“We want more batsmen getting runs and more bowlers getting wickets, and to get a winning mentality back for the three-day games.”

Commenting on Wales, who currently occupy fourth in the Trophy group, the captain added: “They beat Wiltshire and look a dangerous one-day team.”

Chris Jones, Jem Warner and Tom Hicks are all likely to miss out from the Dorset side which lost to Devon last Sunday.

Tom Jacques and Mike Kitson are set to return and spinner Dominic Clutterbuck from Parley will make his senior Dorset debut.
