DORSET will bid to bring an end to their barren run in Minor Counties cricket this season when they host Shropshire at Dean Park.
The home side are still chasing a first win of the campaign and currently prop up the Unicorns Championship Western Division table.
Coach Alan Willows’ men made a good start to their last fixture at Cheshire but the weather ultimately had the final say and the contest was abandoned.
For their three-day game with fourth-placed Shropshire, which gets underway in Bournemouth tomorrow (11am), Dorset make two changes from their side that took on Cheshire.
Bashley batsman Tom Jacques and all-rounder Tom Hicks come in for Jamie Price and Sam Thomson.
It has been a summer to forget for Dorset with no successes in any format of the game to date.
They were beaten by Cornwall, Wiltshire and Devon in the Knockout Trophy – there was also a cancelled match with Wales – and another defeat by Cornwall in the T20 tournament.
There followed losses to Wiltshire and Oxfordshire in the championship before the rain-affected clash with Cheshire earlier this month.
Just one point separates Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Cornwall at the top of the Western Division standings after three matches.
