DORSET today ended their long wait for a win this season by wrapping up a seven-wicket success against Devon in Exmouth.
Starting day three needing 162 more runs for victory and with all 10 second innings wickets remaining, the visitors cruised home for their first triumph of 2015 in any form of cricket.
Masoor Khan and Curtis Blakemore took their unbroken overnight stand of 53 to 90 before the latter was bowled for 42.
Khan fell for the same score soon after but Ryan Scott (32) and Luke Webb (35) added 67 together to take Dorset closer to their target of 215.
An unbroken stand of 47 between Webb (42 not out) and Jake Lintott (36 not out), who had taken five wickets in Devon’s second innings, saw Chris Park’s men over the line in the Unicorns Championship Western Division encounter.
