CAPTAIN Chris Park is looking forward to once again representing Dorset in the county town.
Park is set to skipper a Dorset XI at the Rec on Thursday, June 1, when they take on the MCC at Dorchester Cricket Club’s headquarters.
And Park, who has previously played Minor Counties cricket for Dorset at Dorchester, is pleased to be heading back there once again.
“It’s been a few years now since the Dorset Minor Counties side has played at Dorchester,” he told Echosport.
“It will be good to come back there and it’s during half-term, so hopefully there will be a good crowd down there and we get some nice weather.
“The more grounds that we can have in Dorset that are ready to host Leopards games and, obviously pushing for Minor Counties use, the better.
“We used to play Minor Counties cricket at Redlands in Weymouth, Dorchester, and I remember playing some county youth games at Shillingstone and Bryanston School.
“I am looking forward to playing back at Dorchester. It’s always nice to explore other avenues with Wimborne, Dorchester or Weymouth again.”
