WEYMOUTH captain Harry Mitchell is aiming to “stay ahead of the pack” when the Seasiders travel to Cranborne in their latest County Division Two fixture tomorrow (1.30pm).
Mitchell’s men have taken maximum points in winning their opening games against Kingston Lacy and Charlton Down to reach the summit of the league, and the Weymouth skipper intends to keep the momentum going this week.
He told Echosport: “Everyone is scoring runs in the top four and the bowling attack is our strength so if we can take some early wickets we can see where we go from there.
“I think we can continue trying to win games and stay ahead of the pack.”
Shafeek Urumamcheri, Kieron Womble and injured duo Sami Rathnayake (hamstring) and Neil Walton (back) miss out.
Andy Anderson, who has taken nine wickets in two matches this season, comes in alongside Tony Quayle and the returning Simon Browne, while Andy Jeffreys is also in contention.
Weymouth (from): Collins, Wilson, Webb, Browne, Mitchell, Beals, Taylor, Anderson, Jeffreys, Quayle, J Sapsworth, Puckett
