TERRAS’ boss Jason Matthews claimed that having goalscorer Isaac Vassell at the club gives his side a “new dimension” following Weymouth’s 2-1 victory over Burnham.
The Plymouth loan star netted his third goal in as many games to claim the Terras’ victory at the Bob Lucas Stadium last night.
“Isaac has given a new dimension to the side since he’s come in,” Matthews told Echosport.
“It’s nice to have him, he can play on the wing or up front and that gives you options as a manager.
On his side’s fourth consecutive victory, he added: “Burnham were really hard to break down which is exactly what I feared. They stacked men behind the ball and I felt they scored a very good goal against the run of play to make things difficult and frustrate us.
“I could see the crowd’s frustration and when the opposition are packing men in like that it’s hard to get them to come out and play, I’m just glad our tempo eventually wore them down and we managed to get the two goals.”
