ARLESEY v MAGPIES PREVIEW

Phil Simkin’s troops march in to what the manager describes as unchartered territory this afternoon, but he is still confident his side can get a result.

Arlesey, managed by former QPR and Fulham defender Rufus Brevett, will not have to contest with Dorchester Town skipper Nathan Walker as he is unavailable for the first two games of the season.

Brother Steve however is expected to come back into the squad alongside new loan recruits Callum Buckley and Mason Walsh.

2:09pm

TERRAS v HUNGERFORD PREVIEW

There is an air of optimism at the Bob Lucas Stadium today at Weymouth host Hungerford Town in their season opener.

Jason Matthews’ side, unbeaten in pre-season, will be without striker Tim Sills as he serves a two-game suspension, but a whole host of other summer signings are set to make their league debuts for the club.

Hungerford will be a good test for the Terras, they finished marginally outside the play-off spots in last year’s league campaign and boast former Newcastle United winger Alan O’Brien and experienced front man Mark Draycott in their squad.
