THE County Cup finals day hosted at King George V Playing Fields in Ferndown promised to be a fantastic occasion and didn’t disappoint.

Lewis Berry’s late goal gave Dorchester Town a 2-1 win over Poole Town Wessex in the Freddie Hobbs’ under-12 final.

A fiercely contested tie saw the Magpies go one up from an own goal only to be pegged back by Jack Foden’s equaliser, before Berry won it for the county town side.

Meanwhile, in the Glassey under-16 showpiece, Bridport took the game 2-1 in a highly competitive and tight match.
