BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott is craving a home game ahead of their Dorset Premier League derby against Bridport Reserves tomorrow (3pm), with his side starved of a game at Weymouth College for four months.
Sports last fulfilled a home fixture against Merley Cobham Sports on December 9, taking a point from a 2-2 draw.
And manager Nott is relishing the chance to turn out at home, where he feels Balti’s performances lift.
He told Echosport: “It will be nice to play at home, it’s been just over four months since our last home game.
“Hopefully we can get a positive result but they’re always quite tight games against Bridport home and away, always quite a good battle.
“At home we do play a lot better, so we’re certainly looking forward to playing at the college again.”
On the challenge of facing a youthful Bridport Reserves team, Nott highlighted the Bees’ work-rate as a key attribute.
“They will be in our face, definitely. They will have a lot of energy, but every game is a tough game for us at the moment.
“Hopefully we can try and exploit them, get some goals and win the game. They’re always up for it at our place, so if we can’t get up for a derby, we’re in big trouble,” he said.
Carl McClements and Shane Lock are unavailable, while Ethan Devaney is a doubt. However, Josh Houghton definitely misses out through an ankle injury.
