THE Doctors finally got the better of the Porters in the annual Giles Molyneux Memorial match.
The former ran out 4-2 winners at the Avenue Stadium to secure their first-ever victory over their Dorset County Hospital colleagues.
The clash, held in honour of the former doctor who was tragically killed four years ago, also helped raise more than £1,000 in the name of charity.
Hospital spokesperson Juliette Morey said: “It went very well and we raised quite a lot of money – about £1,150.
“The doctors won for the first time ever and their first goal was scored by Giles’ brother Julian Proctor.
“It was a really close fought match and it was actually going to be the last one ever, but now the Porters have decided it won’t be.
“Overall it was a very successful day and the match was won by the younger team.”
