King feels injustice at the Valley

DISBELIEF: Brendon King and Matt Groves, left
BRENDON King felt his Terras had a perfectly good goal ruled out at the Valley.
Scott Walker put the ball in the net with 20 minutes gone after picking the pocket of Redditch keeper Niall Cooper.
However, the effort was chalked off by the man in black, much to Weymouth’s disbelief.
Manager King, whose side had to settle for a goalless draw, said: “We had a goal disallowed and it was quite strange.
“Their keeper had the ball in one hand and was pointing to his full-back with the other. Scott nipped in and headed it out of his hand but the ref disallowed it.
“I believe there was an assessor at the game and he said the ref should have allowed it to stand.
“Scott was adamant there was nothing wrong with the goal and we did feel a bit aggrieved.
“The referee has made a mistake which has cost us but overall I felt he had a decent game to be fair.”
King added: “On another day we would have gone on to win but at least it’s something to build on.
“We have played five games and three of those have been away from home. It’s important we now prepare for a really tough game at home to Totton tomorrow (7.45pm).”
