DORCHESTER RESERVES 6 WIMBORNE RESERVES 0

JASON Kennard grabbed a hat-trick as Dorchester Town Reserves continued their flying start to the season with a stunning victory against Wimborne Town Reserves.

The hosts flew out of the blocks at the Avenue and completely outplayed their local rivals in a one-sided first period that saw them enter the break with a 4-0 advantage.

The county town then went on to add two more in the second half to wrap up a fourth win on the spin and move six points clear at the top of table.

Kennard opened his account with a fine finish from the edge of the box and he was soon celebrating a second after fine work from Alex Godfrey and Jack Vallier.

The latter then added a third before Kennard completed his hat-trick by breaking free of the visiting defence and slotting the ball past the beleaguered Wimborne keeper.

The away side just could not handle the Dorchester attack and, after the break, Vallier and Kennard combined again for the former to make it 5-0.

It was then left to Jack Twyford to complete the victory with a superb free-kick, which flew into the top corner.

First-team players Tim Sandercombe, Dan Way and Jamie Beasley also turned out for the county town.

Summer signing Sander-combe has experienced a turbulent start to his career at the Avenue but this clean sheet will no doubt be a welcome boost as he continues to battle with Alan Walker-Harris for the number one spot.

Magpies: Sandercombe, Carlile, Way, Mitchie, Rolls, Gape, Twyford, Godfrey (Oliver 75), Kennard (Smith 53), Vallier, Beasley (Gwenzi 65). Subs not used: Reynolds.
