CONFIDENT Dorchester Town will fancy their chances of putting another of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division’s strugglers to the sword tomorrow when promoted Bedworth United visit the Avenue (3pm).

Other than the suspended Matt Oldring, Magpies’ boss Mark Jermyn has a fully fit squad to choose from, with on-loan Portsmouth striker Liam Sayers set to return to the squad after being unavailable for the last two matches.

Dorchester are going for three wins in a row after thrashing bottom club Paulton Rovers 6-0 last Tuesday before coming from behind to beat Chippenham Town in the FA Trophy.

Only Paulton are below Bedworth in the league table and a win for Jermyn’s men this weekend will edge them back towards the play-off places.

Jermyn couldn’t hide his delight when Oldring’s dramatic late goal secured a 2-1 victory for his side over Chippenham last time out.

And he wants the players to build on that against the Greenbacks tomorrow.

“We go into Saturday off the back of two thoroughly deserved wins against Paulton and Chippenham,” said the county town player-manager.

“The Chippenham game might not have been full of chances but I thought we were the stronger side throughout.

“We hadn’t won any games in that manner this season and we had to dig deep to try and get something out of it.

“Our downfall is that we haven’t got the biggest of squads but we have got players who work for each other.

“They all showed that against Chippenham and got their rewards from it.

“To win the way we did was great and we go into Saturday full of confidence.”
