DORCHESTER gloveman Alan Walker-Harris felt his side deserved something out of Saturday’s fruitless trip to Dunstable.

An early Zack Reynolds strike proved to be the only goal of the game as the Duns stole a march on the Magpies in the race to make the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division top five.

“It was disappointing because we wanted to keep the momentum going, but it’s only one loss and we’ve got to move on from it,” said Walker-Harris.

“We deserved something out of it and we had the opportunities. We hit the post and the bar and their keeper made a couple of saves.

“On the balance of play we should have got something out of the game, but we went behind early on and obviously never managed to get back into it.

“The pitch was quite heavy and so we probably didn’t move the ball around as much as we normally do.”

And the county town keeper reckoned there was a slice of good fortune about Reynolds’ winner.

“We half-cleared the ball and it rolled to their lad about 25 yards out,” he added. “He smashed it in from there but I don’t think he meant to put it where it went.

“Some people were saying he was looking to cross it and I suppose you could say there was an element of luck about it.

“But we should have been looking to clear our lines better than we did.”
