A man has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a head injury at the Nothe.

Coastguards said the man fell on rocks this afternoon.

It is not clear if he was within the official 2012 Olympic sailing viewing area or on the coast nearby.

It is believed someone has been injured falling on rocks.

BREAKING NEWS: The 470 men's final race due to take place at 1pm has been postponed due to light winds. 


A decision will be taken later this afternoon on whether the race can go ahead today, otherwise it will be held tomorrow.


Portland’s Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell are guaranteed at least a silver medal at their first ever Olympic Games.


But they aim to go for gold in a battle with the Australian team.
