NATIONAL Novice championelect Harry Cobden can choose between in-form pair Cock Of The Rock and Silver Token for the Cattistock Men’s Open at Littlewindsor on Bank Holiday Monday.

The former completed a hattrick for Cobden at the Seavington, while Silver Token had won four consecutive races before crashing through the wing at the Axe Vale on Sunday.

Wadebridge winner Before The War, who was turned over when long odds-on at Flete Park, Bellsinni Ron, who has yet to reach his best this season, and Champagne Rosie, who had favourite backers sweating at the Seavington, are three longer priced alternatives, but Cobden’s chosen mount will be the favoured selection.

Champagne Rosie is among the 11 entries for a quality Ladies’ Open contest. Contenders include John Daniell and Kawana Cove – second and third in April – the consistent Ladyvie, who has finished in the frame in nine pointto- points without winning, Cheltenham Hunter Chase winner Rebel Du Maquis and three-time French winner Tiger D’Oust, who ran well at Ystradowen.

The Magherally Man is unbeaten in five outings so far this season and has a good chance to make it six.

Barneys Mate can record his 22nd career success – including three under Rules – in the CA Club Members Confined Conditions contest.

Great Trethew runner-up Ned The Post and Otis Tarda, a winner at last season’s corresponding meeting, may fill the placings.

Walker Ridge ran on strongly to take the Seavington Restricted and can follow up in the Hunt Members’ race. The Jack Barbertrained pair Barneys Mate and Mangans Turn are the obvious dangers.

Polo The Mumm, who made a successful UK debut at Great Trethew, and Wyndcrest, third to Walker Ridge las month, are two to consider for the Restricted, but Never Say Never and Porlock Bay are fancied to fight it out to the finish.

Two Maiden races complete the card on the day.

Athreeothree and Overland Flyer hold entries in both and are selected to win their respective contests.

Two pony races, the 2015 Wessex Area Open Finals, open proceedings at 1pm, prior to the first of seven races between the flags from 2pm.

The course lies off the A3066 between Beaminster and Crewkerne (DT8 3QU).
