A GREAT night of boxing is anticipated later this month when Weymouth Pavilion hosts an actionpacked dinner show featuring club fighters from around the south of England.

Weymouth ABC expect to stage 14 fights at their annual autumn fight night on Saturday, November 21, with a number of their members set to take part.

Oliver Carr, 13, faces Nathan Board (Torrington Police), 14-year-old William Mullen goes up against Lewis Hodder (Downend), and Conor Merson, 15, fights Jack Stockwell (Blandford).

In the senior bouts, lightweight Nobby Parker locks horns with Jake Forte (Moneyfields), female lightweight Kelly Robinson goes one-on-one with Rebecca Adams (Gym 01), and Polish middleweight Maceij Sieradzki fights Dom Koncius (Pound for Pound).

The club is trying to find matches for 17-year-olds Chloe Le Page and Libys McGuinness, who in six months will move up to the senior ranks.

Also, a glove signed by boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, donated by Jason House of Buildrite, will be auctioned on the night.

Dinner tickets cost £38 and entry on the door just to watch the boxing is £15 – those just attending for the bouts won’t be allowed into the hall until 8pm.

Tickets can be obtained from club president Dave Nelmes by calling 812748 or 07899925316.

To be an event sponsor costs £150 and that includes two dinner tickets, an advert in the programme and the chance to present trophies to boxers on the night.
