WEYMOUTH & Portland play their second trial game of the new season tomorrow at Bridport (3pm).
First-team manager Vaughan Carter said: “Pre-season training started off slowly, but has picked up with 30 plus players attending more recently.
“We had a trial game at Swanage & Wareham a couple of weeks ago and are looking forward to running out at Bridport this weekend.
“We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at our Monmouth Avenue complex and any new players will be made welcome.
“We are meeting at the club on Saturday at 1.30pm if anybody fancies a game just turn up and make themselves known to me or ring me on 07760210870 and I will introduce them to our playing and coaching staff.”
Weymouth & Portland won promotion to Dorset & Wilts Division One last season and open their league campaign on Saturday, September 10 at home against Oakmeadians while the second XV travel to Salisbury.
