WEYMOUTH & Portland go in search of back-to-back wins to kick-start their campaign in Dorset & Wilts One South this weekend.

Still buoyant after their 46-7 mauling of Oakmeadians last week, the Seaside club face a sterner test tomorrow (3pm) when they visit last season’s Dorset & Wilts Two South champions, Yeovil.

The Monmouth Avenue side faced Yeovil twice last term and lost on both occasions but will be hoping for a better result this time around.

First team manager Vaughan Carter said: “The lads started slowly against the Oaks and squandered a few try scoring chances early doors, but when they found their rhythm they controlled the exchanges and emerged worthy victors.

“However, Yeovil will be a tougher challenge completely, if they field the same pack as last season our forwards will all have to give 100 per cent to compete.”

He added: “I think that how we do will show us if we have improved.

“In my opinion we have a stronger squad of players so I am anticipating an improvement in our performance”

Weymouth & Portland will also be boosted by a pair of returns.

Bryn Llewelyn and Josh Cameron are both set to come back into the squad.
