DORCHESTER’S first XV have their first home league game of the season when they lock horns against North Dorset Seconds at Coburg Road (3pm).

Following on from his side’s win at Swanage & Wareham last weekend, Dorchester head coach Paul Dunne has called for better discipline and a big performance in front of their home crowd.

Dunne has named a strong squad to keep the momentum building but has had to make a few changes due to availability and injuries.

Jamie Ritchie returns to the front row, club stalwart Paul Broadbent shares the second row with Lee King again and Steve Tucker is at number eight, returning this season after graduating from Cardiff.

Elsewhere, the Dorchester second XV face a tough away trip to Lytchett Minster Seconds.

In Southern Counties South, Swanage & Wareham host Frome at Bestwall looking to build on their opening day win at Sherborne last time out (3pm).

n The fundraising team from Weldmar hospice will be in attendance at Coburg Road for the first time this season as local charity partners to the club. The first team will proudly be wearing the Weldmar Logo on their shorts.

Caroline Hamblett and Grant Usmar, CEO and director of fundraising for the charity, will hand over the new shorts to club captain, Stephen Hodgson, and chairman, Nick Hodge.

All proceeds from the sale of programmes on the day will go to the Weldmar hospice for the valuable work they do.
