THE Seasiders, currently lying in fifth place in Dorset & Wilts Division One, visit basement club Sherborne Seconds tomorrow but, manager Vaughan Carter insists there will be no room for complacency after last week’s 40-17 win at home against Salisbury.
Carter said: “Complacency will not be an issue. Both coach Paul (Harding) and myself will make sure of that, we have no idea what strength side Sherborne will field so we have to expect that, at home, it will be a strong one.
“We have to continue playing with the same intensity that we did in the first 40 minutes last week against Salisbury but, eradicate the unforced errors we made in the second half.”
Talking about his line-up, Carter added: “Scrum-half Khylo Farley will be out for some time with a bad knee injury.
“He had an MRI scan this week and is awaiting the result. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it is good news for him and winger JT Montephe has reported fit after being carried off last week with new half back Patrick Clark coming into the squad for the first time.”
Elsewhere, at Monmouth Avenue, Weymouth and Portland Seconds entertain second placed Dimpton in Dorset & Wilts Division Three. The game kicks off at 3pm.
Seasiders’ First XV (from): Quick, Walker, Wildman, Carter, Llewellyn, Neal, Clark, Young, A Bowditch, D Bowditch, Comben, Dixon, Drummond, Leatham, Lewendon, Mason, Montephe, Murphy, Rodgers.
* On Sunday, the Dorset & Wilts Under-20 squad play their first RFU Under-20 County Championship warm-up game against the Royal Navy Under-20s at Porstmouth.
