WEYMOUTH chief Jason Matthews will not be taking Frome Town for granted this evening (7.45pm) as his side go in search of their first away win of 2015.

The Terras have endured a dismal run on the road since the turn of the year, shipping 21 goals in five away outings.

And although the Robins currently occupy 20th spot in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, tonight’s hosts have recorded back-to-back league triumphs over Hungerford and Dunstable, scoring five times in the process.

Matthews, who saw his side squander a 2-0 advantage against the Duns at the Bob Lucas Stadium at the weekend, told Echosport: “I need a reaction after Saturday.

"We didn’t do too much wrong and things conspired against us a little bit.

“It is frustrating to have dropped two points but we need to move forward.

“It is up to us to get a little unbeaten run going now and carry it through until the end of the season.

“The ground is drying out now which makes it easier to get the ball down and play. We still have ambitions of getting promoted and this is where we need to come on strong.”

The Weymouth boss has extensively scouted the Robins, who have recently added central defender Chris McGrath, son of former Manchester United defender Paul McGrath, to their ranks.

“Frome is never an easy place to go and I am sure they will want to cause an upset,” Matthews added.

“They have had a lot of injuries and suspensions this season, but they have their full squad back now and it will be a really tough game.

“I have watched them three or four times in the last month. I know what they are like and they press the ball really well, it is just up to us to go there and put on a performance.”

The Terras are hoping to welcome back Tim Sills to their squad following a hamstring injury.
