DEFENDER Mark Cooper is the next player to announce that he will not be returning to the Weymouth set-up next season.
The full-back, signed by former boss Jason Matthews from Frome Town, took to Twitter to announce his departure this evening.
He posted: “It’s with a heavy heart that I will be leaving Weymouth next season, the time was right to move on and I have an opportunity which was too good to turn down.
“I want to thank Jase, Mose (Mark Molesley), Paul (Maitland), Lloyd (Beals) all the backroom staff for all the support over the two years.
“And finally, I want to thank the fans for the continued support!”
A statement on the club’s website said: “Weymouth FC would like to thank Mark Cooper for his two years at the club as he departs.
"We wish Mark all the very best of luck for the future as he joins Chippenham Town.”
