BUDMOUTH College slam dunked their way to the Year 7 Area Basketball title at St Osmund’s Middle School in Dorchester.
Wey Valley School & Sports College, Colfox School and Dorchester Middle School also took part in the five-team tournament and the standard of play on show was fantastic.
All the teachers that attended the event were also impressed with the way the boys conducted themselves, showing great sportsmanship throughout.
The competition was run on a league basis with all the teams playing each other once.
Budmouth ran out the eventual champions after winning all their matches and will now go on to represent West Dorset against other schools in the county.
Budmouth Year 7 coach and sports teacher Rich Bullock said: “I am very happy with the way that the players supported each other and put 100 per cent effort into every game.
“They showed real determination, especially against Colfox, who were our toughest opposition.”
