THE Sir John Colfox cross-country team returned from the annual relay races at Leweston School with their third trophy of the season.
Having already won the Shaft-esbury relays, the junior girls’ squad travelled to the event confident they could repeat their previous success and win a second trophy in the space of two weeks.
They did not disappoint and the team consisting of Olivia Wilmore, Dulcie Gatehouse, Hannah Bowell and Maddy Herbert romped home more than one minute ahead of second.
The real surprise was the B team who finished an incredible fifth overall to win the trophy for the highest-placed B outfit.
Bronwyn Wright, Rosie Howell, Rosie Hart and Ellen Pearce were the successful athletes.
If there was a trophy for the best C team Colfox, featuring Issy Foote, Flick Ackerman, Daisy Parsons, Rowan Symes and Poppy Legg-Bagg, would have won that as well.
