I have been reflecting on the chaos surrounding Brexit and realised that it was because I was misled very badly two years ago.

We were told we needed to regain control of our borders; were we told that this meant breaking the Irish Peace agreement or making Northern Ireland separate from the UK and rejoin Ireland?

Were we told that the borders such as those at Dover or Felixstowe would have huge lorry jams because we export and import so much from the EU?

We were told that we had too much immigration yet farmers everywhere are struggling to find seasonal workers?

Do you remember the bus with £350m for the NHS on its side?

Were we told that because of immigration policy and the consequent shortage of doctors and nurses created by this, it would mean the closure of Portland Hospital and the closure of Abbotsbury Road surgery?

Were we told that the fresh fish products coming into Weymouth and presently mainly exported to the EU would be rather less fresh because of the hold ups custom controls would create?

We were told that we needed to expand our trade with the rest of the world.

Were we told that the America First policy of Mr Trump would mean massive tariffs on our steel and aluminium rather than free trade.

Still we can always sell more bombs and aircraft to Saudi Arabia to bomb the Yemen with.

When some of these points were made by those who wished to remain trading with our close democratic allies they were accused of scare mongering.

Mrs May could never negotiate a good deal because, as was said during the campaign, Leave wanted to have their cake and eat it which is not really possible!
