WHEN will G W Hockett (Have Your Say, Wednesday, December 19) grasp the fact that democracy is ‘dynamic’.
It moves on, we are all entitled to change our minds!
That’s why we have elections and referendums!
Clearly, G W Hockett wouldn’t be happy living in Switzerland where they have referendums on all sorts of issues, because they believe in a more direct and participatory democracy for their politically active citizens.
Democracy is not set in tablets of stone, even in Portland!
The country’s moved on since June 23, 2016, now they know the dark realities of leaving the EU.
Time for another vote.
