THROUGH your letters page I would like to pay thanks to everyone associated with the NHS in Dorset who cared for my late wife Linda during her cancer illness over the past six years.
She passed away on December 14.
We are very fortunate with healthcare in this part of Dorset.
Both 999 calls during November and December were speedily responded to – the paramedics were wonderful.
The many visits over the years to A&E the staff were always superb.
Likewise, everyone in Fortuneswell Ward and Fortuneswell Outpatients were equally amazing (not forgetting the staff in Hinton, Ilchester and Prince of Wales wards).
I cannot thank everyone enough including our wonderful oncologist, the doctors at the The Prince of Wales Surgery in Poundbury and anyone who has ever donated blood.
The JustGiving fundraising page I set up in Linda’s memory for the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust has already raised over £1,000.
Thank you everyone.
