Further to my letter regarding Shamima Begum, I have now received a reply to a letter I sent to Richard Drax from the Home Office. Although not commenting on individual cases they assured me that they act in the National Interest and no decision is taken lightly. They then went on to assure me that "children returning from Syria are likely to have been exposed to the conflict, indoctrination to have experienced severe trauma and in some cases to pose national security concerns that need to be carefully managed. A range of specialised support- some of which is funded by the Home Office - will be offered to address many concerns ranging from safeguarding to national security. Our support will be tailored to the needs of each individual child"

They then went on to say that returners may expect investigation by the police to address criminality and ensure they are no further threat.

All vey laudable unless you are a minor called Shamima Begum.

I have several questions that I would like answered in the national interest.

1 Who was responsible for her radicalisation in this country

2 Where is that individual (s) now and what are they still up to.

3 Where did a 15YO get the money for the fare and was it paid cash card or transferred from abroad

4 Did she go at her fathers will and in obedience to his instruction and under duress of exclusion.

Both myself and the Home Office will not get any answers if she is allowed to rot in a Kurdish refugee camp in "the national interest"

I do have one other question that would never get printed but apart from safeguarding my treatment of her would come somewhere to the right of that from Attila the Hun. She deserves total condemnation but what child at some times doesn't.
