I very much agree with Niall Simpson’s sentiments with regard to how the EU is only interested in our money.
That is why despite their faux agonising over extensions they will always agree, because they have their eyes firmly on the prize – our money.
Unfortunately we are unlikely now to ever escape from the EU’s grasp; and on less and less favourable terms. It is very much in their interests to have us half in half out as then they can dictate our laws and policy without actual recourse to any UK representation.
First of all we will be obliged to join the Euro, then additional contributions followed no doubt by a requirement to ”share” the banking sector with European (Continental) capitals. Then in a few decades time it will be we that are the migrant workers: so much then for our children’s future inside Europe.
