I have just come to Dorchester.

The grass is cut, it has never been very long, everywhere looks very neat and tidy. I live on Portland.

I have lived there for twenty years, my partner has lived there for fifty years, and we have never known the island to look so bad. We and a lot of other people are disgusted at the state of the grass verges, weed control etc.

We pay our council tax but do not get the service we deserve and pay for. I don’t want to hear excuses from highly paid civil servants as to why it is not done.

I and everybody else just wants it cleared up and properly done.

Perhaps the people of Portland should withhold their council tax payment until this situation is remedied.
