THIS letter is a big “thank you” from Dorchester & District Amnesty Group to all the Dorchester residents and visitors who contributed so generously to our annual street collection on Saturday, September 21.
We also appreciated the many kind comments and words of encouragement we received.
The £194.33 raised will help us to continue campaigning for people world-wide who have been imprisoned, tortured, or threatened for peacefully-held political or religious beliefs. Amnesty does not support people who have used, or advocate the use of, violence.
We are so grateful for your support, and hope some of you will be able to visit our “Tree of Hope” stall on Saturday, December 7, and sign a card to a prisoner of conscience or human rights defender.
