REGARDING the Echo story about the North Quay building - nobody should be angry that this building is being repurposed rather than demolished.
The £270k cost is not something to be proud of, but a drop in the ocean compared to the cost of demolishing the building in favour of an unsightly car park.
The building is architecturally important, and to be repurposed for some retail outlets and premium apartments will help bring some desperately needed money into Weymouth and help make the harbour a more attractive place to visit/live/shop, further benefitting the economy there.
