Re: Dogs on beaches: The council, I believe, went against public opinion originally.
As a dog owner who walks on the beach and totally approves of the council having the common sense to relax enforcement of the rules during this pandemic, I wish to say thanks.
To the dog hating side of the public which appears to have a louder voice then dog lovers- 99% of dog walkers do pick up after their animals and most do give their dogs wormers. From a health point of view there is very little chance of catching anything. There is more chance of wildlife causing issues such as foxes especially urban foxes, badgers etc. Dogs do need to run and at this time the beach is a good place to go whilst the lockdown is in place. In this politically correct world we should all be wary of these changes concerning liberty I believe.
