THE great pontificator Barry Tempest, who seems to know everything about everything, is at it again (Have Your Say, August 13).

Barry obviously views Great Britain with disdain and criticises everything that we have done in the past, especially the Empire.

According to him we owe great chunks of the world a debt for our behaviour; not everything we did was good admittedly, however a lot was, a point he sadly misses.

It may be poignant for Barry to reflect on this weekend as we remember VJ day.

He might also reflect back on the remembrance of VE day in May.

I wonder if Barry Tempest ever flies the flag, and it does beg the question, what has Barry Tempest ever done for this country?

As he despises it so much then maybe he should relocate?
