During this most unusual year and now a summer August month, when each day is a Bank holiday, the unique situation of often up to seven or eight empty international luxury cruise liners permanently anchored in Weymouth Bay, is possibly a once in a lifetime situation which may never occur again.
With a back-drop of the Jurassic coastline, often calm blue seas and hopefully hot sunshine at the moment, a tremendous opportunity already in- waiting for the Weymouth Tourism team to photograph/film and record the luxury flotilla.
The final selected pictures could be used to promote our seaside resort for years to come - with a slogan "Weymouth, Dorset, UK - The Ultimate Holiday Destination".
Coinciding with finalising this letter, BBC News has also just highlighted the situation, describing it as a new Dorset tourist attraction, with local boat trip operators already taking advantage - Good thinking Maties!
