Shoppers queued from as early as 7.15am today to be among the first inside Weymouth's new Aldi supermarket.
The supermarket, based on Mercery Road, has relocated from its smaller Jubilee Retail Park location as part of the retailer's expansion in the town.
The new store forms part of a wider £50 million regeneration project of land at Weymouth Gateway, which developers LondonMetric Property and Avercet hope could bring up to 300 jobs to the area.
Aldi previously stated it will offer a larger quantity of products as well as a dedicated health and beauty section and a bigger fresh meat and fish aisle.

The new supermarket opened its doors for the first time at 8am this morning.
Shoppers waited patiently and followed social distancing guidelines outside the new store before the doors opened and a staff member welcomed them all in one by one.
Aldi also features a traffic light entrance and exit system among its coronavirus measures to limit the number of customers entering at one time.
One shopper said she liked the appearance of the new supermarket and its layout.
She said: "This new store looks great inside. It's nice and open and it's much larger than its old one."
Another shopper thought the Aldi was 'very good and similar to the Chickerell store'. Other shoppers liked its accessible layout and commented on its friendly staff members.
Staff from the former Aldi branch, which closed yesterday, have transferred over to the new Mercery Road supermarket with new jobs created.
Aldi's opening hours are 8am - 10pm Mondays to Saturdays and 10am - 4pm on Sundays.
