AN ENVIRONMENTAL organisation is hosting a meet-up on a Dorset beach next week to inform people about the work they do.

Litter Free Dorset will be on Weymouth Beach on Tuesday, October 26, to offer insight into what the organisation does to combat litter in the county.

On display will be their trommel so people can hunt for nurdles, microplastics, in the sand.

Also on offer will be pebble painting, an opportunity to chat to its members and to also meet the two minute beach clean crew on their tour of Dorset.

People who attend can also catch up with several dog groups who will also be in attendance.

The event starts at 10am next to the beach office in Weymouth and runs until 1pm.
