The defendant's case was heard Weymouth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 18, where his case was proved in his absence.
The charge related to Benchea being told to provide information to Dorset Police about the driver of a BMW who was alleged to be guilty of an offence in the county by October 2 and failed to do so.
As a result the court fined the defendant £660, ordered him to pay a £66 surcharge and £110 in costs.
