The Dorchester Walking Festival is set to return in 2026.
Following the success of the 2025 event, organisers have announced that the festival will take place from May 2 to 10, 2026, welcoming walkers from across the UK and beyond.
The programme will feature a variety of routes suitable for all abilities.
Guided walks of all levels will be on offer, with enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer walk leaders leading the way.
The festival, which falls during National Walking Month, will showcase brand-new walks for enthusiasts keen to explore more of the region.
Various Dorset landscapes and rich heritage will be revealed, promising an exciting week for everyone involved.
The festival's dedication to supporting local causes will also continue.
The proceeds from the walks will be donated to local charities selected by the walk leaders.

In 2025, participants raised £2,300 for over 15 local charities.
The 2026 festival organisers plan to explore Dorchester's history and provide opportunities to follow in the footsteps of local figures, and discover the beautiful countryside surrounding the county town.
