THE Coast road between Weymouth and Bridport is closed following a crash.
A crash is causing long tailbacks on the B3157 Coast Road with the road currently closed at Chickerell Hill both ways between Bagwall Farm Turn off and Courage Way.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route as the road is likely to be closed for a while.
A spokesperson for Weymouth Fire Station said: "The B3157 Knights in the Bottom Road, Chickerell is currently closed between Chickerell and Bagwell Farm due to a road traffic collision.
"The road will be closed for some time so please avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Dorset Police and the fire service are being contacted for more information.
