An image appeal has been issued after a man walked into a convenience store in Poundbury and urinated on the shelves.

Officers from Dorset Police have released a CCTV image of man they wish to identify as part of their ongoing investigation.

It was reported that a man entered Poundbury Village Stores in Middlemarsh Street and urinated on some shelves, destroying the stock.

Details of the incident have only just been released to the media after it was reported at around 3.35pm on Saturday August 29.

Police constable Sophie Simpson, of Dorchester police, said: “Following enquiries into this matter, I am now in a position to issue an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information about his identity to get in touch.”
