A spectacular 2027 floral display at Greenhill Gardens will honour a veterans’ charity to mark its 10th anniversary.
The Veterans Hub Weymouth and Portland Community Interest Company (CIC) will be celebrated with a floral bedding display at Greenhill Gardens in Weymouth, as part of an annual tradition to recognise the work of a local charitable organisation.
Rachel Gray, manager and company secretary at the Veterans Hub, said: "We are incredibly proud and touched that The Veterans Hub Weymouth and Portland CIC has been chosen for the floral bedding display at Greenhill Gardens in 2027, the year we celebrate our 10th anniversary.
"What began in 2017 as a small, two-hour weekly drop-in has grown into something far greater than we could ever have imagined.

"Over the past decade, the Hub has become a place of friendship, support, hope and belonging for so many people within our community.
"Behind those 10 years are countless stories of lives changed, friendships made and people finding the support they needed when it mattered most.
"To see the Hub recognised in such a beautiful setting is a wonderful tribute, not just to what we have achieved, but to every volunteer, supporter and member of our community who has helped make the Hub what it is today.
"We cannot think of a more fitting way to mark this special milestone, and we hope the display will be enjoyed by everyone who visits Greenhill Gardens, it really does mean a great deal to us."
Each year, Weymouth Town Council’s gardening team creates a floral display featuring the logo or crest of a chosen organisation.

The current 2026 honour went to the Lexi May Trust. The trust was set up in January 2016 by Carly Hopkin and husband Michael in memory of their daughter Lexi who passed away, aged eight, a year after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour known as DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).
The Mayor of Weymouth, Councillor David Harris, said: "Weymouth has such a strong connection with our Armed Forces community, so it is fitting that the Veterans Hub Weymouth and Portland CIC have been selected to be represented in next year’s floral tribute at Greenhill Gardens.

"They do such valuable work supporting veterans from their community base in Wyke, and our gardeners are keen to use an array of colourful flowers to recreate their logo and mark the tenth anniversary since they were set up."
Greenhill Gardens is a popular attraction for both residents and visitors.
