ROSS Baker praised Wimborne & Colehill Seconds for being ‘a good bunch’ as he readies his Beaminster team to host them in County Division Two tomorrow (1.30pm).

Beaminster currently top the table, 13 points ahead of Wimborne who are currently third.

Baker told Echosport: “It is a big game for us, again, big games every week at the moment, since we have been top we want to continue there.

“We are at home in what is a really tough game against Wimborne, it should be a really hard-fought contest and we are really looking forward to it because they are a good bunch of guys.

“They play cricket in the right manner so it is going to be a good game between the two teams.”

Discussing their opponents, and the nature of them being a seconds team, Baker said: “They are quite an experienced team for a seconds, they have not got too many youngsters or older players, they are all aged around 30 or mid-30s. They play hard but they are a good bunch of guys.”

The only change sees Simon Jones come in for Leo Gurd.
