FORMER Weymouth loanee Dom Revan has joined Northampton Town on loan from Premier League side Aston Villa.
Revan, 20, shone at the Bob Lucas Stadium as he helped move the Terras out of the Vanarama National League relegation zone on merit last season.
Echosport understands Weymouth were in talks to loan Revan for a second time, although Villa preferred the option of League football for the centre-back.
“Dominic is a highly rated defender who can play anywhere across the back line,” Cobblers manager Jon Brady told Northampton’s official website.
“He can play as a centre-back or as a full-back and he is quick, aggressive and a player with a first class attitude.
“He will add cover and depth across the back line and give us options in a number of defensive positions.

“He has worked with Colin Calderwood before so there is already that relationship there and we are looking forward to welcoming him in to the group.”
Revan did not play in Northampton’s Papa John’s Trophy win over Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday evening.
