DORCHESTER Town renew their rivalry with Wimborne Town tomorrow (3pm) as the Magpies’ derby takes place in pre-season.

Glenn Howes’ men entertain James Stokoe’s side at the Avenue for what is their fourth outing of pre-season and third against another club.

The sub-plot to the friendly is the reunion with two Dorchester players that left the club in the summer to join Wimborne, who were relegated as the bottom club in the 2021/22 Southern League Premier South.

Former Dorchester captain Ash Wells and Oakley Hanger could both line up against their former side.

Wimborne have also added former Weymouth and Salisbury marksman Harry Baker to their squad.

Stokoe’s side have certainly made an impressive start to the summer, bagging 20 goals in their first three friendlies, including Saturday’s 8-1 thrashing of Ringwood.

However, Dorchester are unbeaten in their past four matches against Wimborne, winning three, including their most recent game in April when Olaf Koszela secured a 1-0 triumph.

Wimborne’s last win over Dorchester was a 2-1 success in October 2019.
