FINISHING practice in training helped Dorchester Town overcome Harrow Borough 3-2 on Saturday, first-team coach Brian Churchill has revealed.

Dorchester had previously lost their past four games in all competitions, missing several chances in each game, before Olaf Koszela, Alfie Stanley and Shaq Gwengwe goals sank Boro.

However, it seems practice made perfect for Dorchester as their strikers were put through their paces two days prior to the contest.

Churchill told Dorchester’s media team: “Fair play to them, they’ve kept plugging away.

“Olaf’s scored a breakaway goal and gone round the keeper.

“Alfie’s was a penalty and then Shaq’s was one-on-one as well, which is great.

“We’ve spent a bit of time on Thursday with some finishing and that’s paid dividends.”

The trio appear to be having their own private battle for Dorchester’s golden boot.

Koszela and Stanley have both netted four times but Gwengwe has edged ahead with five goals.
