DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James is “delighted” to welcome centre-half Caleb Tennant back to the club for the 2023/24 Jewson Dorset Premier League season.

Tennant left Sports midway through last season to join DPL rivals Portland United Reserves, having only played three times for the county town side.

However, Tennant was also starved of match minutes at the Blues, completing just two games.

Speaking to Echosport, James said: “He was kind of with us last year, he did leave and now he’s come back.

“He went off to Portland Reserves but I think he only played a couple of games and then didn’t play for the rest of the season.

“We’re obviously delighted to have him back as well. He was really good for us when he played but he had other players in his position who aren’t here now.

“He’s happy to be back and giving it another go.”

Tennant joins Toby Read, Kriss Radivojsa and Darren Watts in signing for Sports this week.
