WEYMOUTH are looking to cause a Vanarama National League South upset at leaders Worthing today (3pm).

Worthing have won four of their five matches, compared to the 13th-placed Weymouth’s two in five.

Terras' boss Bobby Wilkinson believes Worthing are good enough to win the league and placed the Terras on red alert going into the game.

He told Echosport: “We need to recover and have to make sure we play a lot better.

“We’re playing against one of the best footballing sides in the division, who I think will win the league and you could get destroyed if you don’t turn up.

“So, we have to be at it, we have to bounce back and we have to show that character. We look forward to that challenge.”

Expanding on Worthing, Wilkinson said: “I just think they’re a brilliant side, very experienced and pass the ball really well.

“They have home advantage on that (3G pitch) as well. They had a brilliant season last year, they’ve signed well and have got a big budget.

“We’re on two different paths but it’s 11 against 11 and we’re going to turn up and put in a shift.”

Weymouth beat Worthing 3-1 away last season but Wilkinson refuses to draw anything from that evening in December.

“I don’t look at last year,” he said. “All I do is try and regroup my boys and remind them we were flying. We’ve lost one game, it doesn’t change anything.”

Max Hemmings (knee) is out and Anthony Cheshire is suspended, with Weymouth continuing to assess their other injured players.
