Uplyme and Lyme Regis Cricket Club have made a disappointing start to their East Devon T20 Bash campaign this season.

In the opening match they went down by 22 runs to Kilmington.

Chasing Kilmington’s target of 158-5 ULR were 146 all out with Brad Conway (37) and Sam Farrow (25) top scoring and earlier Joe Elsworth taking 2-25.

ULR made 165-5 when they batted first in Upottery’s visit to the Kings George V Playing Field with Andrew Harrison (53) and Mark Batey (40) the chief run-makers.

In a tight finish that went down to the last over, Upottery passed the total needed with four wickets to spare despite some tight bowling from Sam Farrow who finished with 3-35.

Ottery St. Mary will be ULR’s next opponents at home on Tuesday (July 7th). The game starts at 6.00 p.m.
